A judicial magistrate on Monday sent a man suspected of torturing his wife and shaving her hair off to jail until a medical report of the victim is furnished before the court. Judicial Magistrate Shahid Zia, who was hearing the case at Model Town Courts, said that a ruling will be made on the matter after the medical report of the accuser, Asma Aziz, is presented.

She told how they ripped her clothes off before she was pinned down by a servant while her husband shaved her hair off and set it on fire in the early hours of Sunday.

Similarly, when Internet trolls criticized Jada Pinkett Smith for allowing daughter Willow's shave, she fired back on Facebook: "Willow cut her hair because her beauty, her value, her worth is not measured by the length of her hair.
